Question

time to drill - source needed

Ok,
Im finally ready to drill this tank 180, 3/8" acrylic oooollld tank..

Based on previous advice I would like to apply a 6"x24" piece of acrylic in the area I will be drilling as reinforcement..... (will not sell tank so the cosmetics dont concern me)....

Im looking for source for the acrylic (possibly pre-cut to spec), a source for the weldon and for the hole saw needed....

Any chance 1 place carries all ???

call around to the local glass shops and see if they do acrylic. just go to home depot and get a regular hole saw.

how big of a piece do you need/ if you just need it for a guide you can use plywood. mark industries is a good place by you. Callida plastics is out by O'Hare in elk grove village, i have a few thin sheets too. i am by midway. i also might know a guy in Harvard that might be able to help you.
