More Skimmer Probs :(

Ok now that I have found the inlet pipe ( I had to pull the chamber out of the water to find it) I think I got a huge air bubble in my protein skimmer because now I have for a million little bubbles comeing form the skimmer even when I put it on with very little flow. So no more over flow but 1,000,000 bubbles in the tank instead... Should I take the skimmer cap off? what can get these bubbles out quick?

What kind of skimmer, how old and have you added anything to the tank recently?

Any suggestions?

How new is new? The reason I ask is that a skimer needs a priod of time to break in and wont run as designed until it has done so. As far as the media, what type of media?
