another water change question

My pink haitian and my branching hammer are very high in the tank. When I do water changes I have to move their rock so they don't get above water level. My question is can I remove a little water then add then remove then add so that I don't have to rearrange my rock everytime I do a change?

Yes but over all your water change will be less effective. What about changing the water out of your sump? Or leaving your return running until the sump drains? That way the water level in the tank won't drop as much.

I have a 24 gallon aquapod. No sump so I have to take out and put in. So what would you do? I cant move the anemone cause the rock he is in is big and needs to be at the top. As far as the hammer I tried moving him lower and he hated it and stayed withdrawn for almost 2 weeks so I put him back near the top. I really got to get a bigger tank and a sump!
