Looking for a good deal on 5lb CO2 tank?

I need a new (or used) 5lb CO2 tank for cheap. Budget is limited and the new ones seem to go for about $60-70.

Any ideas?

You might have thought of this already, but you might have luck at one of the local homebrew shops.

Beer Necessities- Old Alabama Rd.
Marietta Homebrew Supply - Near big chicken

They may have some used tanks for sale, worth a call.

Good Luck

Also check with localwelding supply shops. I picked up a 20# CO2 tank for $25 plus $12 to fill it (actually just traded it in for a full one). one of the guys that worked there picked up a bunch of tanks from a restaurant supply place that went out of business and was selling them. I figure I have enough CO2 for the next year... lol

I went down to my local bottler and asked for a tank. 20lb was the smallest they had. I had to pay a $25 deposit and $15 per refill.

I have one of Andy's reactors, the dual stage. I'll probably have to refill....its pretty efficient right now...in about 5 years. heh
