ok, this is just cool

we collected some milkweed plants about 5 weeks ago with 5 very tiny caterpillars under the leaves

we watched them devour the milkweed leaves over the next few weeks
and slowly

1 by 1

they formed chrysalis (cacoons)





the first one hatched last night
