neat little photocell that provides a unique feature
| Installation and Operation |
I've got this unit as a standard piece of equipment from my 7095 multicontroller, and it works pretty nicely. I havent had it in operation for a few months (since my last move), but when I did use it I liked how the tank flow was somewhat dampened when the lights were off. It was very easy to install and works flawlessly with the tunze controllers.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
It works exactly as I expected. I don't have any complaints with its performance and I don't have any reason to think that would change.
|
| Value for money |
So this comes with the multicontroller, which is how I got it, and as a result it's hard to quantify it's value. But at the listed prices, for what it does I think it has a relatively decent overall value.

| Liked about it |
This unit is simple to install and doesn't require much effort to use. It plugs right into the various tunze controllers, though I don't know if it could be used outside of those units. There isnt anything too elaborate about this unit, it's easy to use and very straightforward.

| Didn't like |
No complaints on this device, it works well and is a breeze to install. I've seen it for as much as $30, which seems steep, but if you shop around you'll be able to get one for as little as $15. At that price, it provides a feature that would otherwise be unattainable on these types of controllers.

A standard replacement photo cell.
| Installation and Operation |
Nothing special about this product.
It's a standard replacement part for just about every Tunze pump controller including the wave boxes.
No instillation really required for this product. simply plug it in to your pumps controller and your done. The controller will do the rest. No buttons to push to anything. If it's plugged in the controller will recognize it and automatically turn down the pump at night. If you do not have on the pump will function as set 24/7.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
I did not have any exception for this product.
I got a used controller and needed a photo cell. I ordered this one and another month lated ordered a reef keeper and never used the photo cell again.
|
| Value for money |
Its not bad at about $20 if you do not have a controller it's nice to have the abaliaty for the pump to run a little slower at night. This more accurately mimics natural ocean currents.

| Customer Support |
I never had to call about this unit but Roger at Tunze USA is great to deal with and will usually bend over backwards to help you out!

| Liked about it |
It's small and compact you can mount it just about anywhere close to the lights.
It's accurate. Even when it not close to the light it will still operate correctly.
It's Tunze. Great quality and Service!

Neat gadget
| General |
This isn't a necessary product for keeping a reef, but is kinda neat to have. It will sense the intensity of your lighting setup and decrease the flow generated by your Tunze Turbelle streams. In other words, when your lights shut off this sensor will detect it and reduce the flow generated by your wave making pumps to simulate nightime currents on the reef. |
