Excellent product at great price!
| Installation and Operation |
A BREEZE to install. Yes it needs periodic cleaning. Big deal! It takes no more then 20 minutes to clean it.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
Performs great. many complain that it only handles up to 1400 gph. So buy the 1 inch model that handles up to 3500 gph!
|
| Value for money |
How can you POSSIBLY beat a price of less then 50 bucks, sometimes less then 40 when it uses NO electricity AND other wavemakers cost 500 or more??
|
| Customer Support |
The customer support is HORRIBLE! I had a question on mine so I called and got an answering machine. I left a message with the machine and no lie, FIVE weeks LATER I received a return phone call. A complete joke!!
|
| Liked about it |
Ease of set up.
No electricity needed.
Ease of maintainence.
|
| Didn't like |
Customer service is horrible.
Only way to adjust switching speed is by restricting flow to the unit by powering down pump.

Ok for smaller tank.
| Installation and Operation |
Instillation on these is pretty simple. You simply install a pump of your choosing and use nylon tube and hose clamps.
This product worked well for about 2 months then stopped. It needed to be cleaned. It turned out that I was cleaning it about every 2-3 months of it would just stop working. With a max operating gph of 1400 they are pretty limited to small tan. I used mine on a 75 gallon mixed reef.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
This unit performed just as it was supposed to but the regular cleanings were just too muc of a pain and I got rid of it in less than a year.
|
| Value for money |
They are pretty cheap and very affordable compares to other electronic versions but are very limited.
|
| Customer Support |
I never needed any support for this unit.
|
| Liked about it |
When it worked it did a good job moving water around.
It was cheap The low price makes it appealing
Compact this did not take up much space and was hardly noticeable.
|
| Didn't like |
It seemed to fail every few months and required regular cleaning.
I was limited to ably 1400pgh max flow

Cool product
| Installation and Operation |
Installation is a breeze. It does require some maintenance. About once every 6 months I take it off, run some vinegar through it, then blast it out with fresh water.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
Yes.
|
| Value for money |
It's a great value. It requires NO electricity and costs a fraction of what other devices that perform the same task costs.
|
| Customer Support |
Never needed to.
|
| Liked about it |
It's silent. The timing of the switching is perfect for most home aquariums.
|
| Didn't like |
The water has to be free of particulate matter or it will jam the device stopping it from switching. It does need to be cleaned out from time to time.
