Not money well spent
| Installation and Operation |
This is very easy to install and comes with adapters so it can be used with most power heads.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
I did not like this product at all. While adding it created a random flow in the tank, it also reduced the flow by restricting the output on the power head. It also spun too slowly for my tanks and was very easy to stop spinning. Sometimes it would stop for what seemed like no reason at all. I'm sure it was actually a bit of algae or detritus stuck in the works, but it doesn't seem like such a small thing should be able to stop it.
Just my own personal tastes, I didn't like the way the flow made my corals move. It wasn't a pleasant movement. I know that's just my likes and dislikes, but it is something to keep in mind.
In the end I felt like this was just a gadget, a cheap novelty that serves no real purpose. If what you need is random blow, you are much better off buying some low end wave maker than this.

| Value for money |
Fortunately this doesn't cost very much at all. I paid only $4.00 for mine. If it had been more I don't think I would have ever gotten it, but at that price it was worth a try. Since it didn't really work as I had hoped, I feel like there isn't any value even for that low of a price.

| Liked about it |
1. It does actually redirect the flow into a random pattern.
|
| Didn't like |
1. Reduces output from the power head.
2. Gets stuck on seemingly small things stuck in the works.
3. Odd flow created odd movement in tank.

Ok for a nano but thats it.
| Installation and Operation |
Simple to install all you have to do is mount ti to your favorite power head.
Operation was ok I used this with a MJ1200 in a nano and it did a decent job moving the water around randomly but it seemed to get dirty and needed to be cleaned very often.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
It performed better than I though I did not expect much when I got this but was pleasantly surprised once I get it running.
|
| Value for money |
They are cheap about $15 and are a good investment in a nano tank. Anything larger than 20 gallons they would be pretty useless.
|
| Customer Support |
I have never had any problems with any hydor products.

| Liked about it |
This unit is small and compact. It's hardly noticeable in the tank.
They are also cheap and for the money very effective
The do cause the water to move around very randomly.

Its a bit cheep for how much they want it for!
| Installation and Operation |
It's easy to set up and helps with deflecting the water. Only problem is that the presser from the water pushing this unit off the tubing and it stops rotating. It's a pain in the butt to keep putting my hand in the tank to push in back in the tub so it can start to rotate.

|
| Didn't like |
It stop's its rotating when the water presser pushes the unit out of the out take tubing a little. They need to make a better hook up for this unit.

Great idea.
| Installation and Operation |
This was very easy to install, you just slip it on your output side. It comes with a few different adapters to fit almost any power head, with that style output. You do have to keep it clean for it to operate properly. If any sand or debris gets in there it can stop it from spinning.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
It was great when I had this on my 12 gallon nano. Since it didn't have an overflow, I used this to help break the surface tension. And in a small tank were you can't fit a bunch of power heads it really helps create random flow. I actually put it on the output from my return pump which worked out really well.

| Value for money |
Compared to anything else that works similar this is a great price. Wave makers are expensive, and this is a good alternative for smaller tanks.

It worked well in creating a random flow, for a low price. And it came with a few adapters to fit a few different things.

You have to keep it very clean or it tends to bind up and stop spinning.

Not a fan
| General |
If you don't mind a drop in water flow this isn't too bad. |
| Liked about it |
Created a rotating water flow like it claims. Adjustments come with the product to make it compatable with almost any powerhead.
|
| Didn't like |
Significant drop in water output of the driving pump, require weekly cleanings to keep parts in working order, not a perfect fit in all settings.

Hydor FLO
| General |
It is a good little product for some inexpensive random flow. Some small snails would get caught between the spinning head and the body almost every night and it would get stuck though and I got tired of having to pull it out and dislodge them. For the price it is a neat little piece of equipment and if you don't mind picking snails out it is a great option for small tanks. |
| Liked about it |
Creates a nice random flow in the tank.
|
| Didn't like |
Small snails get stuck in the mechanism and prevent it from turning.

Neat little item
| General |
This is a neat little device for introducing a small amount of random flow in a smaller tank. I used one of these in my BioCube 29 along with a Tunze nanostream and have been very happy with the result. Understand though that this device does have its limitations and it best used in smaller tanks like nano reefs. |
| Liked about it |
Compact size and surprising abilty to generate random water movement when paired with other sources of flow.
|
| Didn't like |
Nothing. Is flow dependent so I advise that you not try and overdrive it.
