Good flow, but I still wouldn't buy it again 
| Installation and Operation |
I found the mounting bracket for this pump to be inadequate. Perhaps I am spoiled by magnetic brackets but even so, I should be able to adjust the direction of the pump without it falling off the mount.
I also found the sweeping mechanism on this pump often stopped working for one reason or another, usually related to something getting in the joint of the sweeping head. For example, algae, or even the little spiral tube worms. Coralline finally put that function out of commission for good.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
Two of these in a tank can create a decent random flow, but one is basically a laminar flow that sweeps which can be good or bad depending on what you which to accomplish. The small tank I used this in was a fish only with live rock so this served its purpose. I would recommend a different power head than this one under most circumstances, if not all. I recommend Korlalias, they are magnetic mounted, powerful, and have a ball and socket joint mount that allows for easy direction of flow. The newer versions are also controllable so they can be used to create random flow.

Value is tricky sometimes as in this case. Because the pump does what it says, and is affordable, it has good value, but because one is likely to buy a different pump to replace it, then it looses value.

functional..
| Installation and Operation |
The mount was horrible and I actually used aquarium sealant to keep the suction cups from coming loosing when making small adjustments.

I should have opened the box, this thing is a beast and the filter is giant. It does what it says, its just huuuge and does create flow.
Its not a glamorous powerhead, but functional, i keep trying to say its functional. Until you get coraline build up. Then its a strait shooter.

Very Nice!
| General |
Over all, this is a very nice powerhead.
I would reccomend it.

I liked the idea that the outlet rotated back and forth.
It's a very nice addition to have in your reef tank.
It circulates water like a beast, too!

The big sponge attachment takes up a lot of space.
The sponge sucks up a lot of things and it all just sits there.
Also, the rotating head wore out after awhile.
I think it got jammed on a piece of sand while I was at school and the plastic kind of tore and it doesn't rotate anymore.
Still, the flow is nice!

Not bad for the money
| General |
The flow is good.
The power sweep head will get jammed up on mostly anything that can make its way into the power head.
They are very easy to clean and maintain. |
