lousy pump in my experience
| Installation and Operation |
I don't really like the installation features, nor do I think it has good water flow. It's basic design even requires a 90 degree bend in flow output before it comes out, basically wasting energy use and water flow. I've not been very impressed.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
This seio pump is pretty weak. It doesn't have a very high flow rate, and it's rather large for what it does. The one I had didn't last long, either. After about 14 months of use, this unit pretty much seized up on me. Considering the other brands and models of pump, I don't really care about this pump.

| Value for money |
If someone gave it to me, then I still may mark it as a poor value. There are so much better pumps on the market, I would simply stay away from this one.

It is not very expensive, but otherwise I don't have much good to say about this pump.

A number of complaints on this product. First, the mounting mechanisms are confusing. It comes with a lot of different means of mounting it, which is nice, but none of them work well. The suction cup adapter makes the unit stand away from the side of the tank at a good ways, and even then it's either pointed the wrong direction or your wasting a lot of flow the deflectors. The unit didnt last long for me, the design makes it easy to jam material in the impeller and really hard to clean out. If it was given to me, I may use it, but otherwise I'd pass on this pump.

Okay for a cheaper pump
| Installation and Operation |
It is easy to install. There are 4 quite large suction cups, but are difficult to remove because there are no tabs on the cups to aide in removal.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
For it's size it performs worse than I thought. I guess I was expecting the same performance as a submersable inline pump such as a Rio.
|
| Value for money |
It is their smallest super flow pump and I think for it's size it doesn't pump out much water.
If you can afford a stronger model then go with that one.

Has a "detachable directional snout" that helps aim the water where you need it the most. The snout can also be removed and in my opinion when it is removed the pump can push more water through.

There is no foam pre-filter and Chaeto or other algae can clog the intake.

Good little pump...
| General |
Seio's are good pumps that move a lot of water using minimal wattage. They are a little large if you use the included housing/shroud and the suction cup mounts really would be better if replaced with a magnetic mount, but for the cheaper price they are a good pump. |

Built well, low wattage with lots of flow.

| Didn't like |
Too large with housing installed, suction cup mounts instead of magnetic.
