Would not ever buy again

Installation and Operation Easy instalation it comes with adapters to fit the right hoses. The instructions were basic no complex work needed to be done. The slip on/off hoses adapter makes it easy to remove and clean

Performance vs. Expectations In my opinion the pumps hp is over rated. At 4' of incline it looses more than 50 percent of it's gph.(gallons per hour).. It almost caught fire when my water level was to low due to it not having a sensor to shut it off when your water level is to low it just runs and runs..

Value for money Not at all there are pumps that are cheaper that perform much better. Compaired to the other pumps I have and use this pump is well below average for the price.. Your paying for an Acura but getting a base model Honda..

Customer Support Never contacted them

Liked about it Easy to install.

Didn't like The fact thAt it will over heat and not turn off when/if your water is to low. Over the 6 months I owned it it continued to get louder and loose gallons per hour of pumping..the over all quality of the product is not up to par in order to run a healthy aquarium..

Not the best pump, but probably the best for the price

Installation and Operation These pumps are quite easy to use, place and maintain.

Performance vs. Expectations I've got a half dozen of these pumps that I use for various purposes. For example, I use them to mix my salt water for me and I use them to pump that water out of the mixing barrel and into my 5 gallon storage jugs. I've used them in tanks as well, and find them to serve their purpose well. They are less than many other pumps, which is why many beginners start with them. However, not many aquarists stay with them and will generally upgrade and one time or the other.

The main problem with these pumps is not that they don't pump, they do, the flow is adequate. However, they don't seem to last as long as other brands and seem to clog easily. This can be prevented with regular maintenance cleaning. However, getting to a pump to clean it isn't always the easiest task, such as those placed behind rock.

These pumps come with various attachments which can be quite useful.

Value for money There are two ways to gage value as far as these pumps are concerned.
1. Does it do what I want it to for an affordable price? The answer to that question is yes.
2. Will this product last as long as I need it to? The answer to that question is, probably not. To be realistic you will probably buy a better pump later, but if you are starting out, this is a good pump and is affordable.

Customer Support I have not needed customer support for this product, it's use did not require explanation and the product worked as expected.

Liked about it 1. Affordable
2. Comes with accessories
3. Easy to remove access cover for cleaning

Didn't like 1. Due to the design this pump will require regular cleaning more often than many other brands.
2. Lack of magnetic attachment

not a good pump compared to other brands

Installation and Operation I had this pump as the first return I ever owned, and while it did alright, I was very pleased when I upgraded to mag-drive pumps. Considering the cost difference, I wouldnt recommend this pump

Performance vs. Expectations It performed well enough, but not that well. It's not particularly easy to configure and I've read dozens of reports of these shorting out when submerged, to the point of killing entire systems.

Liked about it Really the only good thing about these pumps is that they're inexpensive.

Didn't like This could be a long list, but at minimum I'd say overall flow rate vs. power draw isnt that great, and they have been notorious for shorting out while in operation. This short can fry the tank and will, at best, kill the breaker for the system (if not start a fire, which I've also seen). Best to find another solution in my experience.

Great for return/feed but a littlr bulky in tank

General I used this pimp to feed my skimmer and I also had one in me 75 as a powerhead.

It worked great on the skimmer but in the tank it was a little bulky.

historically they were prone to failure but the "+" models seem to have taken care of that.

I rean this pump for almost 2 years without a single problem.

Liked about it Low power comsumption
easy to clean and service
powerful

Didn't like Size they are big for the gph produced
