yes---My Little Giant 4-MDQX-SC Pump was supplied with a 3 MDQX-SC as well when I ordered
my Lifereef system. After 13 years years of use, the O rings were replaced in both, and my #4
needed a new impelloer and its' housing. Scored by sand over the years. Used for 15 years.

Having an external fan, it is a little more noisy than the #3 MDQX-SC
Agreed with a previous review, the mounting holes are located poorly,
I do not mount my pumps though, as this can cause resonance in cabinet
You have to oil 2 ports 2x/yr, I did 4x/yr and it lasted

Great Pump
| Installation and Operation |
Very Easy to install, a few pvc fittings and it is on it's way...Very low maintenance, Quiet!

Performs perfect...My First Little Giant lasted five years, (I always have a back up in case of emergencies)...This one is way past five years now.

Excellent Return Pump
| General |
It is a very well made pump. It is also very quiet compared to other pumps I have used in the past. The amount of flow for the price is also a big plus for this pump. |

A noisy little Workhorse!

I ran this pump as my return for months. It's a great pump for the price but with my sump in the guest room it was just a little too loud. |

Great Pump
| General |
This pump has literally been the "heart" of my tank's water circultion for the past 4 years. It has been very reliable and when it dies will likely be replaced with another Little Giant 4MDQX-SC. It is not the quietest pump out there, so don't use it if your tank is in your bedroom. But in other rooms of your house where there is "normal" ambient noise, you'll never notice its running. |
