General I don't know if it was the saltwater or what.. but both of the Little Giant Pumps I used seized up or shorted out within 6 months... Not my favorite pump. I think you would be better served saving up for an Iwaki or something similar. Liked about it Worked well, fairly quiet. Didn't like Didn't last very long...
