Good pump but subject to CA buildup
| Installation and Operation |
The pump is basically just plug and play. Maintenance is not too bad assuming you can separate the impeller from the shaft. The pump has a ceramic shaft that is both expensive and brittle. One wrong twist and it snaps. To clean the pump, I use a mix of vinegar and muratic acid (mostly vinegar)
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
Yes. It's a quality pump.
|
| Value for money |
I would say that it will run for a long time. Outside of shafts and one impeller all mine (total 5) are operational. My oldest is 4 years.
|
| Customer Support |
I did talk with them and received adequate support. Like most, service is available only during business hours and it takes a little work to get to the right guy.

| Liked about it |
Build quality is good, flow(output) is good and energy use (heat) . If setup properly, this is also a very reliable pump.
|
| Didn't like |
I wish some of the parts (like shafts) were not half the cost of the pump.

Nice and quiet
| General |
These pumps are great. I am running two of them to feed my two C-Skim 1200 Protein skimmers and I love them. they are reliable and super super quiet. I would not trade them for anything. You wont be disappointed. |
