Installation and Operation Simple and easy. Simply stick the powerhead on the magnets. It just pushes right on. Very easy to operate, just remove the cardboard between the magnets and attach to the glass where you want it and plug it in. Comes with a full instructional booklet.

Performance vs. Expectations Performs great for a bit. Ive had 2 of these in the past month and the front grille on both of them broke through normal use and they started running in reverse. All this was within 30days for both of them, hardly worth the money unless you wanna deal with customer support.

Value for money Well I spend a little over 100 dollars for 2 of these and with that 100 bucks I got appox. 30 days of flawless operation before they both broke and became pretty useless. If they dont break then these are great pumps, however im a little anal when it comes to things failing through short normal use. Screams design flaw.

Customer Support I did email the company about this because I was not happy. They emailed me back in a few days and asked for my name and address so they could send me 3 new covers free of charge. They obviously have this problem a lot with these pump so that is something to keep in mind.

Liked about it Very simple to use and operate.
Low power use.
Easy cleaning.

Didn't like Poor durability.
Large size.
A little noisy if run on a wavemaker. Constant clicks when stopped and started.

Installation and Operation The pump is well packaged and is easy to clean you dont have to take out the base so you dont loose the perfect angle you worked so hard to find. The unit has a suction cup on inside base and a magnet that goes on the outside and pulls the suctions cup to the glass makes for a very solid base that will not fall off.

Performance vs. Expectations This unit has a nice and wide spread to its flow not a narrow cone wich makes it great for a reef. It does exactly what I wanted it to do.

Value for money You actually get more than you pay for here I had different brand that did not use the magnet and the suction cups let go and the head fell to the sand and blew sand all over every thig in my tank I put it back up again and it came off again this time i saw it and it took of like a boat motor on a mission to kill my frog spawn. what a mess I had little peices allover my reef.

Customer Support I have never had to use them both units have been running for over a year with no problem.

Liked about it The motor mounts straight on the base wich gives it a smaller foot print than others. The price is fair. They are carried by most lfs.

Didn't like I would by more if i ever nead one but I would like to see more movement in the ball mount and maby offer a mp10 style unit around the 125.00 dollar range.

Installation and Operation Snap two parts together (very obvious).
Throw out card board between magnets.
Decide where on the tank wall to place it initially.

Performance vs. Expectations Yes.
In a 40 gallon, 36 inches wide, it ripples the surface of the water, then after bouncing off the wall, food flakes take about 4 or 5 seconds to move back towards the pump. No need to turn off pump during feeding.
For high flow corals, I'd recommend the 1050 pump in a 36 inch tank. I tried the 14?? for a couple of minutes, and the fish were surfing. (LFS only had the 14??, and exchanged it for the smaller pump later in the week.)

Value for money Excellent

Customer Support na

Liked about it 1) Place it any where on the wall, and it stays (unlike suction cups that will fail during a weekend away and churn up your sand).
2) Cannot hear it at all.
3) It is obviously moving a lot of water (based on the return flow), but it is more spread out than a Maxijet.

Didn't like 1) It is a bit long, But on my placement near the top / back, you need to crouch down to see it. Taking another 1/2 or full inch might be a good engineering project for the company.
2) Not sure how long it will push out the same amount of water.

My Go-To Flow

Installation and Operation Very simple installation - put it on the stem, put in place, attach the magnet to the outside of the tank in position. Up and running within 120 seconds.

Performance vs. Expectations I was worried that 750 gph in a 75 tank would be too much. It actually wasn't, and I could have used more. Eventually I did purchase a 2nd 750 and pointed them at each other from across the 48" my tank spans. With the two facing each other, not only do I get nice surface agitation, but random flow in the middle of the tank.

Value for money I wouldn't ever second guess myself on purchasing this item again if the need became necessary.

Customer Support Never had to deal with support.

Liked about it Ease of installation

Didn't like Two things:

I have to be careful when turning them on. They do have a tendency (for me) to start backwards.

I also wish they had a wider range of motion.

A good little pump

Installation and Operation How easy is installation? put the peg in the hole and the magnets do the rest!

Performance vs. Expectations I was expecting a little more from this pump, I have a 55g tank, and if this is the only pump running, if will move water only about 18" out from the unit, its a very low velocity flow, but I would like it to do a little more for the money.

Value for money Value its good, other pumps in this class are a little more expensive so I did save a little I think.

Customer Support Customer Support, was great!

They have some of the best service I have seen in awhile. Just wish I did not have to contact them in the first place.

Liked about it I think its a good deal for the money, it dose have a nice flow path, even if it is short.

Didn't like this pump has a small rubber bushing that keeps the pump from starting backwards, if it is damaged/worn, your pump with do squat on a wave maker. I contacted customer service about mine getting worn, and they sent me a new cover in the mail in about 5 business days, and were very helpful about the mater.

Much Better!!

Installation and Operation Just as previous models, just stick it in the tank, attach the magnet, and plug it in.it

Performance vs. Expectations I have 2 K2's in my 55, and they just dont have the same flow as the evolution. The new design has a much better flow patten,it is smaller, and more powerful. If these has come out when i first got the tank, then I would have gotten nothing but these. They are MUCH better!while it is still bulky, it is still much more sleek than previous models...

Value for money for being CHEAPER than the K2, for more flow, you can't go wrong!

Customer Support N/A

Liked about it new, sleek design
new, better flow pattern
STRONGER than previous models
has a better range of movement,

Didn't like still a tad bit bulky, but thats what you get with koralia
new "shock absorbers" don't really do much in my opinion, just add unnecessary length

Awesome New Design Koralia Evolution Powerhead

Installation and Operation Easy to Install. Actually the same installation method as all other Hydor Koralia powerheads. Magnet-suction cup combination. Instuctions come with this unit with step by step instruction with pictures. Plug and point operation and requires the occasional cleaning due to coraline/calcium buid up. Instructions also explain this too.

Performance vs. Expectations Performs just as advertised. This new model comes with a new shock absorbing suction cup design to ease down on vibration. Unit also is smaller than the older version. It also has a new impeller design which is shaftless and can now be used with wavemakers. This why I bought it. I picked up 2 of these to use with a wavemaker to supplement my flow in the bottom rear of the tank. Gives a nice concentrated flow in the direction you choose. Still comes with the sphere joint for the rotational direction flow. The startup is no longer the loud clanky noise that the other powerhead models make during startup. Only makes a very very slight noise now you can only hear when next to the tank.

Value for money Not a bad price for a quality powerhead.

Liked about it I liked the smaller design and the ability to use with a wavemaker without all the clanky noise the old design gave you. New shock absorbing suction cup attatchment.

Didn't like Nothing I liked everything about it.
