Cheap casing
| Installation and Operation |
Installation was complicated. The quartz sleeve cracked while I was slipping on the rubber gasket. I had to buy a new one. When the new one arrived, I assembled it completely, attached all the tubing, turned on the water flow, and body of the sterilizer unit sprung a leak. Major water cleanup, allover the place. Fostersmith replaced it immediately. I'm assembling the new one, and the casing cracks as I'm screwing in the intake barb! I had to return that one too. I decided that the plastic was cheap, thin and brittle, and that the assemblage was not trustworthy since the first one leaked from a joint that should have been sealed properly during manufacture. I couldn't risk having this unit containing the water flow and ruining my carpet, flooring and furniture, all of which got quite a spraying of salt water, the first time. Instead, I bought an 18W turbotwist, which I should have gotten in the first place.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
The product was defective. I should never have purchased it.
|
| Value for money |
Not worth much, considering the cheap housing, leak, and breakage.

| Customer Support |
didn't use them.

| Liked about it |
I liked the idea of the water being well exposed to uv light, unfortunately, I could never test it.
|
| Didn't like |
1. It leaked from the main housing
2. The quartz sleeve assembly is dangerous (the quartz cracked while I was assembling it and I had to take a piece of quartz out of my finger)
3. The plastic cracked during assembly.
