Good product
| Installation and Operation |
I would like to state I have had this product for 6 months. Not necessarily the longest time, but long enough to write a decent review.
This product is very easy to install, whether you are using hard piping or tubing.
Bulb changing is a breeze on this unit, just twist and remove the bulb housing. On some of my other UVs you have to unscrew screws and take the unit apart and worry about gaskets. This unit is much easier.
It performas as expected. I noticed no difference between this and my other UVs. All work fine, but then again these are one of those things that are harder to test.
One of my favorite things about this product is that it is WATER RESISTANT if not partially water proof.
Somehow it fell off its mount and was halfway submerged in my sump for over a day! It was even the half with the bulb housing. This resulted in no leaking voltage and no shorting out!!
My other UV got splashed and began leaking voltage and would not stop until I took it fully apart and dried each component! Huge plus for this unit!

| Performance vs. Expectations |
In terms of doing its job as a UV I didnt notice any different because of the twist, but its not like I put it in a tank full of bacteria and measured haha.
In terms of ease of use this is the best I have used.

| Value for money |
Probably still a little expensive for as good as it is, but when your good charge more!

Coralife Turbo-Twist 6X - 18 Watt UV Sterilizer is easy to use !
| Installation and Operation |
Installation of this unit is a snap. There were no issues at all in getting the unit up and running. The included instructions are quite detailed, perhaps too much which at first can seem intimidating, but once you get started it really is not difficult.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
Unit appear to perform fine. It is difficult to determine your flow rates if you are looking for algae kill vs. parasite kill. It would be nice to have a specific pump recommendation and configuration of one of the methods or both.
|
| Value for money |
The initial purchase is quite a value. The real cost comes with a replacement bulb which is almost as expensive as the unit itself.
|
| Customer Support |
Did not have to deal with Customer support, however feedback from the LFS is that they are typically very responsive.

| Liked about it |
1. Piece of mind for parasite control.
2. Water clarity
|
| Didn't like |
1. Cost of replacement bulb
2. First bulb lasted about 6 months.
3. Indicator light that the unit is in operation could be placed in better place to monitor bulb is on. Currently is a window at the bottom which illuminates.

Easy setup; beautiful device
| Installation and Operation |
Installation was outright intuitive and perfectly simple, unlike other brands that I have tried. The bulb slips in, you attach the barbs if you need to, attach your tubing, and you're ret to go.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
I can only rely on the germicidal capability claimed by the manufacturer, otherwise, performance in terms of actually using it, is simple and exactly what I hoped for.

Haven't needed them.
|
| Liked about it |
1. Ease of assembly
2. Simplicity of design
3. Available wattage
|
| Didn't like |
I did not like the fact that I wasn't prepared with 5/8" tubing, which is the smallest diameter the barbs are capable of handling. I had to run out and find 5/8" tubing and couplers to couple that tubing to my Eheim tubing of smaller diameter. Considering how many people are using smaller diameter tubing, I have no idea why they didn't provide for this.
