| Installation and Operation |
This unit is very simple to install. You will need to purchase a pump to run it. I had a algea bloom in my water and purchased this unit to help me and within about 5 hours my water was very clear. I was very impressed. It dis-assembles nicely and I have not had any issues with leaks. Unit is a little bulky so make sure you have plenty of room for it. I ran it for about 3 months 24/7 and now only on occasion and bulb is still going.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
Very effective at clearing algea blooms. I had a cheaper brand that never performed for me so I was skeptical but within 5 hours my water was clearer than I had ever seen it. After 6 months I have had no issues.

I don't like spending money I don't have to and I don't like wasting it on junk. This thing was exactly what I wanted and I am very happy with it.

Very effective at its intened purpose. It has a porthhole so you can easily see if the bulb is functioning. Very simple and trouble free design.

It's a little bulky but not really an issue. I wish these things came with pumps. I like to get things complete and ready to go and not have to order more than one thing.

Good buy for the Price
| Installation and Operation |
I found it pretty easy to install. Didnt really need instructions, it is pretty self explanatory. Once set up, no maintenance necessary as far as I know. Maybe after a year or some make sure the o-rings are ok. Bulb is easy to replace, if you mount it in a good location that is. Make sure before you mount to hold where you want and see if you are able to remove the bulb without obstructions. Only problem I had was because I was trying to use the hose already on my tank, instead of the size it came with.

Currently running on my freshwater tank, but would assume it would perform just as well in a saltwater setup. Before I got it this I had problems with ich, so I set this up treated the tank to get rid of what was on the fish and this thing did the rest. Havent had any problem since. Also this thing has made the water crystal clear!

3. No algea, have yet had to scrub the glass on the tank.

Really no disapointments. Only thing I guess was the ability to use different diameters of hose. I think there is only two sizes that it will take without a little tinkering.
