Good digital thermometer

Comments I got this digital thermometer because I got tired if trying to read through the algae encrusted analong one I have in my display tank. So far it works really well. I have a total of three different thermometers in my tank and this one is the most accurate. I have the probe in my sump and It is mounted on the inside of the stand door. It comes with two methods to mount it. one is a freestand and the other is a screw/double sided tape mount for putting on a vertical wall. Both mounts work great.

My favorite part of this item is the temperature alarms. If the temp rises to high or too low, it beeps quite loudly. This is a great warning system if you are worried about your heater failing.

Liked about it Large readable screen.
Room temp reading
Temperature alarms both high and low.

Didn't like Short Probe cord

simple, portable thermometer

Comments good second thermometer for checking temperature or calibration of others, but don't drop it in the tank. ;) I've had a couple of these thermometers over the years, and they're particularly useful if you have a fish room, as the room temperature measurement is handy.

Liked about it These are battery operated (1 AAA battery), and very simple to operate. I have dropped it in the tank a number of times, and it actually worked after a couple of dunks.

Didn't like It doesnt have a great mounting device, so you have to prop it up next to the tank in order to get the thermometer in the water. As a result, I think it's a tendency to knock it in the water. As a result, tt would be nice if it was completely waterproof.
