i had this thermometer on a 12gal biocube that i gave to my cousin, the product just simply does its job perfectly. its no secret that small tanks tend to either overheat or overcool which can cause the crash of everything living in it, thats why watching the temperature on smaller tanks its a must. i would recommend this product since it kept me aware of the right temperature of one of my previous aquariums
