More accurate than other test kits. featured

Installation and Operation The hanna phosphate tester was really easy to use. Plus, there are many videos online showing you how to make them work. There was little or no maintenance required to work the photometer. First you press the center button, then you add your sea water in a tube and put the tube inside the photometer. Later, you take the tube out and add a powder bag and you put the tube back into the photometer. It's very easy to use. However, when I first used the photometer, my reading was wrong because I accidentally took to long on the powder adding part.

Performance vs. Expectations Yes, it performs as advertised. Compared to other phosphate test kits, I believe that this one is probably one of the best.

Value for money Its very very expensive. Also, they only give you a few powder bags, then you need to buy some more. However, if you want to get the best readings for your aquarium I really suggest you get this.

Customer Support Never had any problems.

Liked about it It's very easy to use and it's also very accurate. Compared to other test kits, which are both inaccurate and hard to use, I found this test superior to the others. They give you powder bags, and compared to other test kits, you don't need to measure how much powder to use, they just give it to you.

Didn't like It is VERY expensive. I wouldn't recomend it for the regular non-coral hobbyist. t's probably only for people with sps and lps corals. They could have included some more powder bags and even the powder bags cost some money too!

Can Not Live without one! featured

Installation and Operation There was no instillation with this product.
Operation is another story. This unit is very specific and you must pay attention and be precise when using.

This is a very accurate photometer and once you get the hang of is simple to use. First you fill the cuvette with tank water to calibrate the machine. The you add the regent and mix till dissolved. the test takes about 2 minuets and results are displayed.
Very easy to read and simple to use.
Measuring phosphates with anything other than a photometer is a waste and will only give you a loose ball park number.

Photometer are extremely accurate and this product is lab quality.

Performance vs. Expectations This unit performed exactly as expected. With extremely precise measurement of Phosphates this unit is a must for anyone with a SPS system or demanding extremely clean water.

Value for money It's not cheap. Close to $200 and then about one dollar per test!
But worth every penny.
Do you run Granular Ferric Oxide? It's not cheap. How do you know if you even need to run it?
I test my phosphates every other week. If I seen anything about .03 I fire up the GFO reactor. If I do not need it I do not use it. That alone could pay for one of these units in a year if you run GFO 24/7

Customer Support Never had any issues and need to call for support

Liked about it One you get the hang of it, it's simple to use.
Extremely accurate results!
It comes with 2 cuvettes making testing quicker I fill them both then add the regent to on right away and begin stirring.

Didn't like The price! But could pay for it's self in GFO savings.
The instructions are easy to understand but it takes using this unit for a while to get comfortable with it.
You have to keep buying regent at about $1 per test.
