NH4, NO2 and NO3 are spot on.
I'd rather use a probe for a more accurate pH level.
The newest version of this kit offers numerical values on the Alkalinity card in units of Milli equaivalents per liter which is better than the old version which had Low, Normal and High
Remember that 2Meq/L = 5.6 dKH = 100 ppm CaCO3 |

Test kit not for the Novice

This kit reminded me why I stopped testing my water. I was excited when I purchased the test kit and went to use it immediately only to find out that you need a chemist degree to figure it out. The color charts are easy to read but the results are a mystery, the kit does not tell you what the levels should be and what to do if it is high or low. It was like walking around in the dark. Mind you it does several test and some I understood but everyone that I have communicated with on the Forums or at the LFS have all stated the same thing; too difficult for even the experience hobbyist. A test kit should be simple for even the most begining novice and this kit is far from it. The price is very high and the frustration level with it exceeds the price. There are much better kits at a lower price. Very disappointed |

Test kits

The Red Sea Marine Lab came with my 130D (New Red Sea tank) I like the kit better than the API (so far)
Still looking for quicker tests and less bottles . |

Test kit has 5ml syringe that really helps with testing .Test results are quick and easy .Color charts are much easier to match up .(We all know they never match exactly ) This kit seems much closer

Mini syringe is very hard to work with. Drawing 1ml exactly into "final position" is tough and frustrating
