a cheap test that I find to be pointless

For an iodine kit, this one is pretty good. This measures to within about 0.1ppm iodine. I have NEVER needed to test iodine, though (only having done so out of curiosity), so for the $15+ this unit costs I'd bet you have a better way to use your money.

The instructions are clear, and the ability to perform the test is pretty straightforward. It comes with everything required to perform about 30 tests. Nothing to complain about the actual test.

My generic complaint about red sea test kits is about the packaging, and this kit is no exception. Other than that, the biggest negative of this product is the cost; I see no reason to test iodine in any application, so unless there's something I'm missing I find this test without merit. I'd rather spend my money on something useful.

Nice Job Red Sea!

Overall I give high marks to Red Sea.
I feel the labeling of the vials should be looked at to better direct the user and avoid confusion and poor results. The packaging is very nice with bright colors and bold writing . The cost for the kit was very reasonable for the quality and quantity in the kit.

The kit really provides all the necessary tools to test the water. Clear well written directions with bold color laminated test chart.
Enough testing solution for 30 tests which will hold you over for a sufficient amount of time. Nice plastic testing vials with "good" plug caps.A great syringe to siphon water from the tank so there's no chance of contamination to the sea water

The directions were a bit confusing . There are two vials that are detailed as "standard" and "sample".The "standard" vial has a yellow stripe. If not careful you can get them confused.
