I have found the kit to be fairly straight forward to use. The color shifts are clearly evident to me. The test has been fairly repeatable for me.

Straight forward and easy to use. Cost is about the same as any other Mag test out there

4 different reagents and only 1 test tube included for the test (which requires 2 different tests to complete). No fills available for the test kit. You will use one of the reagents more than the others and are basically wasting a good bit of reagent.

I am not really a big fan of this particular kit. I think its to time consuming and difficult to use. The Salifert Magnesium kit is a better choice in my opinion. The Elos kit takes a long time and is more complicated to do than the Salifert. I also don't like that the reading is only in 50ppm increments. I will explain why I think its complicated. You have to fill the vial ad drops until it changes color. Then empty the vial refill it and do another titration type test. Then Subtract the 2 findings and multiply by 50. The Salifert kit is just much easier and faster and more precise ( it gives you a value in 30 ppm increments not 50ppm).

I didn't like the fact that its time consuming, and complicated. I also don't like that it only reads in 50ppm increments. Thats a pretty big void if you ask me. And I don't like that you have to do 1 test empty the vial then do another test. Its like doing to tests in 1.

Only Magnesium Test Kit I will use!

Great test kit. Elos really takes their time in development and I have have been very happy with their test kits. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. |
