Spendy test, but a good consistent measure
| Comments |
This is a good test kit, but it's rather expensive and my one complaint is that it doesn't have a great sensibility. The brand itself is top notch, elos makes amazing products and has been known for a while about producing high-end kits. This is very similar to other high end tests in that there are two reagents and a powder, and uses titration for determining calcium levels.

The kit is easy to use, and it comes with all the necessary hardware to perform about 50 tests. The instructions are clear, and I like that it uses titration in lieu of using a color card for making the final determinations. There are few complaints about this product, if you're into keeping a lot of stony corals this test is certainly worthy of consideration for determining calcium levels in your tank. It should help when determining how much calcium supplement to dose, as well as when locking in a calcium reactor.

Two things that land in the complaint department. First, the price of this test is not negligible. It's one of the more expensive products on the market, and therefor I have high expectations. Second, the fidelity is only within 25ppm. Comparing it to the main competitor, Salifert, this is not a very tight range. Now I'll grant you that needing to know a calcium level within that small of a range is probably never necessary, but I do prefer the salifert test as a result (which gives a 10ppm sensibility).
