When you do need to know copper values in the tank, it's usually for critical decision making. When dosing copper as a medication, adding too little is futile and too much can spell a quick demise for your fish and other inhabitants (an be warned, inverts cannot tolerate even trace levels of copper). This kit is a cheap way of getting a generic gauge of copper levels in your tank, but it can be a challenge to know the precise result and doesnt always give a repeatable conclusion.

Liked about it

This is an inexpensive test kit that can be used for a large number of tests, and it's very easy to use. Simply add a few drops of the reactant to the water.

Didn't like

the accuracy and ability to use the information is questionable. It is a challenge to understand where the values of one color change, so it can be hard to know what the results of the test are. As already implied, understanding what the precise copper measurement in your tank is usually critical, so using a kit with questionable fidelity is not always the most wise solution. I'd recommend investing in a higher quality product.
