Aquabuys.com Review

I'm currently going through the same issue with Aquabuys.com I didn't head the warnings here and other places concerning their inventory problems. I purchased a Nova Extreme Light late on August 25th and then when I returned to the site the item no longer appeared. I immediately called (next day) and was assured that the item was in stock and would ship on that day. Returned to the site again at the end of the second day and my order was listed as "backordered." I've emailed them requesting the order be cancelled and have not heard back. I call and get VM but no one has returned my call yet.

I had never ordered from them before but was looking for a vendor closer to me in the NE thinking items would get to me faster then if I ordered from other vendors..most of which are in CA.

I'll never go to Aquabuys again. PAY ATTENTION TO REVIEWS. You'll always here good stuff but be aware of the bad.

General My wife and I purchased a Nova Extreme Light and a Protein Skimmer from Aquabuys on March 6th. I called first to make sure both products were in stock. After the Aquabuy representative (no need to say his name) confirmed that they indeed did have one last light available we quickly placed our order online and he said he would make sure it got packed for us that day. The next day I went to their website to check the order and it says BACKORDERED. I had to wait until monday to call and when I did he said it was there and it would be shipping today. We got a email saying that our product had been shipped but the weight on it seemed off (only 6 pounds for a protein skimmer and a 48 in light). When the we got the package today the only thing they sent (OF COURSE) was the protein skimmer. I called back and they said oh what happen was we had UPS lose another customers order so they had to give them our light (WHAT KIND OF MESS IS THAT?). Anyway he then said since I wanted to cancle my light order because it would take them a couple of weeks to find it that I would have to pay shipping after I gave him the silient treatment he then said he would give me the free shipping the one item in hopes that I would return as a customer again. I won't because I believe they lied to me. I seen another review like this before I ordered but thought it was an isolated incident. It wasn't. Now my take has cycled and we can finally put fish in but we have no light!
