Absoluetly love it
Comments
I put 120 lbs in my 135 long, i used to have Crushed Coral, but this setup i wanted to try Sugar Grain, i was a little skeptical. The tank clouded up for 24 hours and the writeup on the bag said it would, and the skimate in my skimmer changed colour for a couple of days, but it has been in the system now for a month, and everything is great. The tank looks amazing, and everyone that comes through my door has complimented on the new look.

I love the pristine white look. The tank looks so mutch cleaner with uniform sand. My fish seem to love it too, I See them going in the sand and rubbing their bellies in it all the time. A couple of my fish have redecorated a little, making their own burrows under rocks using their tail, I really like it this seems more natural to me..

took a while for tank to clear up. 2 to 3 times a day i havta flip snails nd hermitts over since they can't seem to do it for themselvs anymore. i worry a little about consistancy, i purchased 4 bags 2 where really dry and 2 where soaking wet...

good sand but a bit small for high flow tanks
Comments
This is a good white sand that will stay bright in most applications and provide a quality substrate. It would serve well for fish that burrow or sift sand, as it has a grain size from 0.5mm to 1mm. This sand will require a good amount of rinsing if you want to reduce the sand cloud that can be formed when using it, but if you don't rinse it your tank will clear up in time.

A couple of things that stand out about this product, the first being that it's got a pretty bright white color. There are few sand that are as white as this, and it really can stand out if used in the right applications. Second, it's got a good price and can be found with ease, so I've picked it up on a few occasions for smaller setups.

The only thing I don't like about this product is the grain size. If you have a lot of flow in your tank, for keeping SPS or other critters that like a lot of water movement, you're probably going to have sand duning to deal with. If that's not a big concern, this may be the right sand for you.

Natural
Comments
Looks great in all tanks and stays nice and white. This is also aragonite based sand so you dont have the problems that you would with silica sand which is a huge plus. The sand grains are very small though.

This sand makes your tank look natural and creates a very bright sand bed which makes your tank look alot better. This sand doesn't turn dark as time goes on.

It blows around if your flow is too strong, I would go with a larger grain sand especially if you have SPS coral type flow in your tank to prevent sand storms.

nice, white grains
Comments
I choose this for the bright white color and small grain size. It took a few days to settle down, but now the powerheads don't blow it around at all.

Nice, even grain size. Dropped polyps still attach to the sand and grow out well on the surface. Good buffering of pH.

It's worth rinsing the sand to get some of the dust out before putting it in the tank.

Great color throughout.
Tried another brands of sand and it discolored fast

Need to rinse it pretty good, made the mistake of slowly placing in an established tank after a few rinses and still had a cloud bomb...
