Searched Tropic Marin PRO-REEF Sea Salt - 200 Gallon Mix But in Reviews
Coral decline
| Comments |
Started using Tropic Marin salt for about 4 weeks my corals started withdrawing, so I called my distribtor and and they said since the salt is low in alk that I should have a calcium reactor to offset this. I went back to my previous mix and in a couple of weeks my corals came back. I'll stick with reef crystals or oceanic salt.

Too Expensive for what it is...
| General |
I used this salt exclusively for almost a year on my 180 mixed reef. I battled SERIOUS algae problems when using this salt. When I switched to a different brand, almost immediately the algae began to die off. It could have been coincidental, but you can't fight facts... This salt is just TOO expensive for what it is... Some people have had tremendous success, but it did not fit the bill for me... |
