an angry fish, I wouldnt recommend it
Comments
Damselfish in general are aggressive, and this one is no exception. They are territorial fish that, while small, arent going to tolerate may other fish. They may do well in smaller tanks, so those around 30 gallons, but in my experience they arent worth the trouble they cause.

These are cheap fish that are readily available. It does well in a fish only tank or a reef that has a stricter focus on larger fish, as it will pester small fish (especially those that are similar in family).

True to its name, these fish are very territorial and aggressive. That's by far the biggest drawback. While they are readily available and acclimate well to aquaria, they are absolute terrors to other fish similar in size and can drive an owner crazy. They are a real challenge to catch and I wouldnt expect to easily get rid of one (or more) of these fish.

beautiful fish but... still a damsel
Comments
this fish is colorful and energertic, i have 3 on my 25gal and are doing really well. this fish has brought energy, life and color to my tank. i got to say and many people will agree with me that as pretty as this fish can be, it is still a damsel which can, and will be aggressive against other fish. as long as you dont have any fish that cannot stand their ground with a damsel you'll love this one.

A colorful damsel.
Comments
A colorful alternative to the blue devil damsels. Have the same aggressive behavior though.
Do not add more than 1 per 10 gallons. Make sure to have plenty of hiding spots.

Great color under actinic lighting.
Try to find ones that are aquacultured.

Can be mean just like other damsels!
Do not add them first. Add them only after everything else is settled.
