Pistol Shrimp Symbiosis

I have had one of these and a pistol shrimp in my aquarium for about 3 months now. They are inseparable. The hole they dug seems to have gotten quite extensive, it has two outlets now, one is against the glass. I can see them peering out at me if I get down and look straight back at their hole.

Its beautiful looking and very peaceful with other inhabitants. I like his big spot fin, and the symbiosis with the pistol shrimp is my favorite thing in the aquarium. I think it is less controversial and more beneficial to the lives of the animals than the anemone/clownfish symbiosis.

Sometimes it goes 2 days and I don't see it. I see it eating food, but often times I don't, and that worries me, but I have had it three months and it's growing. If it doesn't have good hiding, theres a good chance other fish will harass it (introduce it in FIRST).

Awsome fish

Easy to care for eats frozen foods flake etc. Constantly out never hiding unless it gets scared. It gets along with every fish in my tank as long as they don't get near his burrow

Beautiful colors with the orange stripes and the black dot that resembles an eye on its dorsal fin. I thought it would always hide but to my surprise i see my goby 90% of the time never just hiding for no reason

Territorial but i think its funny because they goby has a very sad attempt of protecting its burrow it trys to sideswipe the other fish. My scooter blenny laughs at him and continues scooting lol. I tried to pair with a pistol shrimp but the shrimp attacked the goby so it doesn't go near it. now their both living on separate sides of the tank.

Favorite Fish

Very easy to care for. It is not aggressive towards any of his tank mates. He is currently paired up with a tiger pistol shrimp, they always are hanging out together. He is not really picky about food.
