Big fish with a big appetite
| Comments |
These fish can grow to a huge size up to 1' 8". They will eat any fish and invertebrates that they can fit in their mouth, so you have to be careful what you house them with because many expensive tank mates can become a fast lunch. These fish require a minimum of 200 gallons. They will do best if fed a fresh fish, squid, prawns, silversides, and freeze-dried krill. They are best kept in a FOWLR tank with really good filtration because they are such messy eaters. They are prone to nip at corals but can be housed in a reef with caution. They are also fast growers.

Panther Groupers
| Comments |
Panther groupers can be considered aggressive fish as it will eat anything it can fit into its mouth. Panther groupers do grow relatively fast and should be kept in rather larger aquariums - I would suggest keeping them in 150 gallons or more depending out the size of the fish. These fish tend to be more active and social when compared to other groupers. For the most part, I fed my panther grouper live food and it would eat just about anything.
