An active and very nosy fish. Struggles to swim for it's food but it doesn't stop it. Seems to like omnivore/herbivore pellets more than carnivorous blend! Not very aggressive, just occasional posturing. Likes shrimp and small baby mollies. Suspect my fish is a fat female in comparison to my friends which is far more colorful and slender. A relatively expensive fish for $14, I watched him in the shop for a few weeks before purchase.

The spotted hawkfish is a lot like the flame hawkfish. the have the tendency to pearch up high, chillin out watching the world go by in and out of the tank. Mine will come up to the front for pictures or to say good morning or feed me I cant read his lips but hes there, very friendly non aggressive nature makes these guys a must have for any tank. I have heard that may eat smaller fish and or crabs but I havent experienced any of that to date. I have also read that they may not get a long with Like-bodied fish but it seems that the hawkfish and lawnmower blenny spend alot of time together
