This fish is like a clone to the 3 spot Damsel fish. When its younger its Aggressive but will shy away from bigger fish. Once he starts to grow within a year he becomes very aggressive and territorial. Will knock over corals and even hurt fish that come close to his side of the tank. I did have two but both fought for the same territory and one died. These fish my be cute but they have some anger issue problem's :-) I would say for a adult fish no tank smaller then a 70 gal if you want to keep him with other bigger fish. Never add fish that's smaller then him.

Good fish if you only want damsels but also can use to start out the tank |

Gets very dominant in the tank an starts to chase fish down. i have seen one kill a regal tang an nip fins off other fish with no problem

3 stripe damsel review

Cool fish very curious fish...I kept 1 w/ a engineer goby, & 3 2-stripe damsels. The 2&3 stripes stayed together ate together and even slept together. Really attractive fish to watch under actinic's for a cheap price. |

OK starter fish

i did have two in my 56 gal tank but moved them to my 10 these guy have great color. and do well with other damsels in my experience. but are very aggressive towards other fish. i would only put them with bigger fish or with other damsels. |
