| Installation and Operation |
installed easy, problem was the gasket for the plastic piece directly after the pump overflow was too big, or the piece was too large. I have bubble coming up onto the venturi area, and trying to come up the side of the collection area. Adjustment is decent if you like to play with the flow at the same time you play with the venturi air intake volume, took almost 24 hours to get the flow and bubbles stabilized, as for a nano tank where you might have loss of water from evaporation the water level for this device is more crucial than other devices i have used. if the water drops 1/8th of an inch and you have to readjust or add water, its just very inconsistent. i ended up putting it on my refugium, and even then it seems i have to adjust it a little everyday, the water there stays in exactly the same level. not to mention the bubbles it puts out when its not in exact calibration. ive been trying to use it for two months. what the hell is a rejuvenation plug anyhow, and how are you supposed to reach it during operation?

Very Good Nano Skimmer for the Price

I haven't found anything yet that I don't particularly like about this skimmer. It works quite well for the price I must say. Are there better skimmers? Sure. But they aren't $30 either. Get this for your nano if you can't afford anything bigger and better but you'll probably be replacing it later down the road. |
