Skims fine I just had to install an over flow because it will over fill the rather large cup if you over adjust the flow. It was loud at first so I plugged the air intake with the providded plug and let it run for about 24hrs to let all of the air work out of the pump now its not any louder than a power filter. The over flow is only a drilled half inch hole that i epoxy a plastic elbow into and ran a tube to a 2 gallon bucket with a lid. It would have to over flow for days to fill the bucket.

cpr was 160 i paid 80 for this one at my lfs it wont handle a 75 gal like my cpr does but for my 36 gal it does just fine.

Good enough for me

Very easy to set up. My first skimmer and no problems figuring it out.

I assume its performance is good. I've never really had something else to compare it too. I just know that after a week or two the water in the skimmer looks like coffie so its gotta be doing something.

Now that I look back I think it was a little too expensive. I bought it at my lfs for about 20$'s more than I could have got it for online (including shipping). But.. now that I've speant my money and there is no going back.. I'd have to say I like it and it makes me more comfortable about the water quality in my tank.

Kinda puzzled by the one star reviews

This skimmer is a breeze to install (its HOB after all), it is extremely simple to operate and adjust

I didnt really have many expectations as this was my first skimmer, however at the time of the review its far from my last. Although it is not the greatest skimmer it works just fine and outperforms a few others I have used. I braced the intake with a clamp and it skims even better now! Bracing it locks the intake in place providing a more constant path.

I bought this used, so I cannot comment on this. If these really go for a 100 plus new then there are better skimmers for your money, but also some worse.

Easy to install. Instructions are good. Operation and maintenance is a different story. I kind of feel bad about this review but I really did not like this product.

Really Noisy!

It performs very well, except for the fact that it is incredibly noisy. I had to return it. There are better and quieter skimmers around, though, for a ten gallon tank, this would be a good fit.
