Fission Nano Skimmer

Kitchen

Price: $23 to $29 at 7 stores
Searched Fission Nano Skimmer in Reviews

Didn't get what I was expected.

Installation and Operation The skimmer was a breeze to install, it was practically plug-and-play.

Performance vs. Expectations I would say no.

Value for money $30 definitely is over priced. I would drop the price to $5, cause I feel that's what the tiny pump is worth.

Liked about it I liked the idea that it was HOB and extremely small.

Didn't like It really didn't "skim".
Not enough bubbles produced.
The skim mate was pretty much water.

Waist of Money

General I got this for my biocube and was very disappointed. The skimmer would not produce anything and I tried setting it up multiple ways.

The tube to connect the pump and the body would come apart to easy.

Liked about it It was small.

Didn't like Did not produce.

Do not buy

General This was my first skimmer ever. I do not count it really since it never started working. I got this when I first entered reefing with a Nanocube 12DX. I found tons of people saying that it was worthless and to invest in a Sapphire skimmer for nanos than this piece of garbage.

Granted it may have been easier to dial it in if I used an ATO on my nano, but from what I have read even users using an ATO were experiencing issues. Save your $$$ and buy a Sapphire skimmer.

Liked about it hrmmm

It's bad if I can't think of anything good.

Didn't like This skimmer is worthless, it does not pull anything from the water, it is impossible to dial in and next to impossible to make it fit in a nanocube 12dx that I was told it was made for. It would either not skim at all or just pull clear water rather than a nice stinky head of skimmate.
