Good Skimmer

General

This is a great skimmer for the hobbyist that likes to DIY. There are several websites that show plans for gate valve modifications and recirculation modifications to boost this skimmers effiency. Make sure that you consider your sump water depth when tuning the skimmer and use some type of autotop off system to help keep the sump level consistent. This will help the skimmer tune and function more reliably.

Liked about it	This is an easy skimmer to setup out of the box and can be essentially plug and play. Easy to clean and maintain. Pulled out excellent skimmate and DOC's when tuned.
Didn't like	Tended to be hard to keep tuned and required frequent checking to ensure that the skimmate remained the consistency I wanted. The acrylic used in this skimmer is not recommeded to be used with an Ozone setup.
