Installing the skimmer was very easy, although the instructions are not helpful at all.

The performance of this skimmer was better than I expected. I had replaced an Aqua-medic skimmer and this one by far out performs it.

It is simple to use and can be set to skim very heavy, thick sludge or it will skim very lightly and fill quickly. You can't believe the stuff that it pulls out of a clear tank.

The instructions could stand to be more detailed. It is adjusted by sliding the tube up and down and at first I did not know that because the instructions never stated how to adjust so I had to figure out why the fill cup was filling so quickly with clear water.

ASM G-1X Protein Skimmer

I have the G1-X on my 75 and it works great. I have heard others say "I thought my ASM was a good skimmer until I got this other one". Since I have no comparison, I think it works great. |
