Excellent for the Price and Size!
Installation and Operation
This skimmer didn't come with any instructions, but it wasn't too hard to figure out how to put together from looking at the picture of it on the box and just how simple it is. You just have to connect a few pieces of airline tubing between the skimmer and the pump, and your done. It may take a few minutes to adjust it to your desired skimming performance, but it isn't very hard to adjust. I also found it to be one of only a few good skimmers that would actually fit in the Nano Cube sump.

Performance vs. Expectations
I originally wasn't expecting much from this skimmer because it is an air-driven skimmer and it was only $40, but it is actually doing a decent job on my Nano Cube. It consistently removes a thick layer of dark brown skimmate every few days. I have it set up so that I don't have to empty the collection cup, it just drains down into a larger collection container, but it does seem to do its job.

Value for money
I think it was worth the money, but if you can afford a better skimmer, and need it, then I would probably get something a little nicer. It is a good skimmer for small tanks (30 gallons or less), but it probably wouldn't be very effective for a medium to large tank. It also does require adjusting every once in a while, which can take up a bit of time because it can be a little bit difficult to adjust if it is positioned in a tight space.

I haven't had any need to deal with the company yet.

It does it's job on a good level.
Inexpensive.
One of only a few skimmers that is small enough to fit into the sump of a Nano Cube, that is actually worth anything.

Didn't like
Can be a little tricky to adjust.
The airpump is a little noisy. It isn't very loud, but in a quiet room, it could bother some people.
The woodstone/airstone needs to be replaced about every month to every other month.

Great little JBJ Nano Cube protein skimmer for the money!
Installation and Operation
This hang-on protein skimmer is very easy to install. Installation is basically self-explanatory; however it does not come with a manual. It should come with a manual for the less experienced reef hobbyists. Regarding maintenance, I replace my wooden air stone every two months. I empty my collection cup out every three days.

Performance vs. Expectations
Originally since it was what I like to call "An Old School Skimmer" I wasn't to certain how well it would perform, but after about three days break in time, it started collecting all kinds of junk from the water.

For the money, I don't believe you can find another skimmer to replace this one.

Easy to install. Very in-expensive. Works good after the break in time.

The air line tubing that comes with it is cheap. It does not come with instructions, but overall a good skimmer.
