Instructions are sufficient enough to get the skimmer running. Getting it calibrated does take some practice to get it to produce quality skim. Performance vs. Expectations Yes, although, like every skimmer out there, the ratings for capacity are over exaggerated. A good recommendation is buy a skimmer thats rated for double the capacity you have. This skimmer definitely falls within that category. Value for money I believe I paid about $100 which seems reasonable as it is built with some quality to it. The power-head used is definitely at its maximum when working. Customer Support I haven't had the need to contact them, but they do seem to have a quality website to go to if you have any issues. Liked about it 1. Cost is inexpensive 2. Simple to adjust with practice 3. Easy to clean Didn't like Power-head could be of better quality, modifying the impeller can double bubble output. Like all skimmers, really works for about half the capacity its rated for. Lacks silencers so can be noisy at times. As with all in sump skimmers, water level needs to be maintained. Performance vs. Expectations Performs excellent! Better than expected. Value for money Excellent value for the money. Customer Support Excellent. Purchased silencers for both units purchased since they don't come with them. Liked about it 1. Easy setup 2. Quality construction 3. Works excellent Didn't like 1. No air silencers, need to come with them. 2.
