Amazing and inexpensive nano reef skimmer! 
| Installation and Operation |
AquaticLife's Internal Mini Protein Skimmer 115 is incredibly easy to get up and running. Comes with an informative manual on CD. It is very easy to operate as well as maintain.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
This little skimmer is an amazing performer. Once broken in it produces a nice, dark skimmate and keeps my 30 gallon system quite clean.

This skimmer is definately worth the price. It's about $60 brand new (you can easily find it for around $40 online). For the money and performance I would easily call it the best value in a nano skimmer available.

1. Instructions are a tad vague on the ideal setup water level. Based on advice from other forums I've found that the skimmer actually functions best when the skimmer intake is just about 1/2" below the water level.
2. Took 2 weeks to get it properly broken in, could have just been my setup though and I may not have rinsed out all the components well enough.
3. Adjustment knob is a bit close to the collection cup and it's position makes it a bit difficult to adjust easily. Thankfully though, once adjusted properly, you don't need to touch the knob again.
4. The collection cup is a bit small (2"x2"x3"). In my 30 gallon system I usually end up having to empty and clean the collection cup every 4 or 5 days.

| Installation and Operation |
It is fairly easy to install. The instructions it comes with aren't the best. Mine has required a lot more maintenance than I would like as it randomly stops skimming for weeks on end.

It has not met my expectations as is will not properly skim even with a consistent water level. As of now, the pump has stopped making micro-bubbles so water is pouring into the collection cup.

If it worked, it would have definitely been worth the money.

Good skimmer for the money
| Installation and Operation |
This was very easy to install and fit in the back compartment of my 24 gal cube. It can not be mounted externally but it's very small and doesn't take up much space. Adjustment is easy with a small knob next to the collection cup but it's hard to turn while the collection cup is in place.

Performs great on my 24 gal pulling out dark skimmate. It has met my expectations and I would buy another one
