If your going to run a lot of pipe then make sure to install unions!
Either run a union in between two ball valves or run a ball valve that has two unions!
Make sure the O-ring is in good condition and only hand tighten!

Makes cleaning the inside of pipes super easy.
Also makes plumbing in cramped areas easy.

requires that the water be off and the pipe to be empty. Installing a true union ball valve is better.

IF you ever need to disassemble your plumbing, these are a must! I use several of these in my system and they have worked without fail.

The O-Ring in the middle has a tendency to fall out, make sure it is there when assembling, or it will leak!

They are ok but use true unions if possible
| General |
I only use these were there is not room for a true union. They are fine and do make it easier to remove pumps and other plumbing but true unions are my far easier. |
