easy to use bulkhead featured

Comments these are a must have for any reef ready or drilled aquarium. they are designed to create a leak-free connection for plumbing through the aquarium. All that's required is to screw the two ends tight on a cleaned surface (both sides of the glass should be very clean and smooth). The standard threading makes plumbing them a snap.

Liked about it These are cheap and easy to find, and they're really priceless when it comes to plumbing through a tank. The 1" model is pretty common on most reef-ready tanks under about 125 gallons. You'll find these all over the place, and they're easy to operate and, once configured, should provide leak free results for years to come.

Didn't like These standard bulkheads arent quite as robust as some of the other types (such as the schedule 80 bulkheads). These are more prone to cracking if overtightened, which is the biggest complaint in my experience. When folks find they're leaking, the first reaction is to tighten it further, but doing so may be at risk of breaking the bulkhead. If you find yourself in that situation, it's best to remove it the bulkhead, ensure the glass is clean and that they're seated properly, and then try again. You really shouldnt need much of a tool to get them leak tight.

Closed loop return bulkhead

Comments This is a standard threaded bulkhead. Nothing special about it at all. If you have drilled your tank this is a must for attaching plumbing to your aquarium. Simple to install be sure that all surfaces are clean and I use a little silicone grease on both sides of the gasket. This ensures a watertight seal.

I do prefer the threaded versions. This can easily be removed without cutting any of the other plumbing. Then you can also reuse the bulkhead on another application.

They are super cheap and I usually keep a few 1" and 1.5" on have just in case of an emergency.

Liked about it Simple to install
Reusable because of the threaded interface.
Clean and attractive on the inside of the aquarium. The threaded versions also make it easy to install loc line on the inside of your tank.

Didn't like there really was nothing I did not like about these bulkheads.
