Not exactly a One and Done Reefer here.

Comments Slip to Slip, that's just it.
Made to be a Permanent fixture, and in this hobby everything needs to be accessible and easily moved.
Not that it does not serve it purpose, just not something I will use again.

Liked about it Seals up nice, and does exactly what it is designed to do.
It does have a nice clean and sleek look, not that everyone looks under or behind but I do.

Didn't like Do not like Permanent Fixtures.
When it comes time (and every tank keeper does get to this point)to re plumb, and make improvements you just cant with out a major overhaul.

Instead of a simple breakdown version you need a Saw, and you cant reuse this like a threaded fixture.

double slip requires permanent plumbing

Comments Bulkheads in general are a staple of the aquarium hobby. It's hard to perform any plumbing job without them. This 3/4" double slip bulkhead is very common and can be found either included with a reef-ready tank or at almost any saltwater aquarium store.

Liked about it These units are very easy to install and don't require any special tools. I typically prefer using schedule 80 bulkheads, but this one is small enough that I don't find the need to get the heavier duty type. These are cheap and a great solution to almost any plumbing job.

Didn't like My complaint about this product is that it's a double slip connection. If you glue all your plumbing together, you're going to have to cut it apart when you upgrade, change, or maintain the system. I much prefer a threaded fitting on the smaller side of the bulkhead so that they can be removed and reused if needed.

Get the threaded versions

Comments I made the mistake of buying the slip style bulkheads on one of my tanks.
Honestly it was fine and I never had a problem with it up until the point that I took down that tank.
With the plumbing all glued into place I was forced to get the hacksaw out and start chopping. then I had to go and redo all the plumbing to fit the next application.

If you have the potion get the threaded. It will cost you a little more in PVC fitting but those are super cheap.

Other than the threaded issue these are standard bulkheads. Very simple to install and use. I make sure that all surfaces are clean and I use a little silicone grease in the seal during instillation.

Liked about it It's a bulk head and it does work but can be a bit of a pain when you want to remove your plumbing.

Didn't like I do not like the slip version.
Save yourself some hassle and get the threaded ones.
