Uniseals

Why use an expensive bulkhead when you can use a Uniseal? Just drill a hole in the pipe, tank or bucket, insert a Uniseal, then put some Windex on the end of the pipe and push it in. It's that easy! Feel like rubber, but they are made of DuPont Alcryn rated to 40 psi and warranted for 25 years. They are immune to cold, will not harden and hold pressure and vacuum. The...

I love them

Comments They are so much easier than bulkheads. I was Leary that they could hold water but now I am seeing the skimmer and reactor manufactures are using them in pressurized application. I use them on plumbing for my top off tank and mixed salt water. I have never had a leak with them I use them on both flat a curved surfaces and have to say that I am very impressed with these little guys. Before drilling a hole for these be sure to check the size required. The hole you drill is slightly larger than the PVC you will be using.

Liked about it Very simple to use and install
Very effective at holding a water tight seal.
Cheap. These are only a few buck each,

Didn't like I woudl not use these in all applications like a drilled tank but for holding tanks and water change tanks they are great!~

A Must Have!

Comments Bulkhead what?
HA!
Who needs bulkheads when you have Uniseals!
They are super cheap compared to bulkheads and for many hobbyist they will work just as well.
Great for those DIY skimmers and sumps!

Liked about it Easy to install & insert pipe!
Make sure you use the correct size hole saw!
I've used them on the last 4 skimmers I've built and I wouldn't use anything else.

Didn't like Very difficult to remove the pipe once you insert it. Make sure you do not push it in too far!
