Installation and Operation So installing this product is really dependent on how you want to do your plumbing. The way I did it is by going out with solid PVC from the bottom. I just glued the PVC directly into the fitting. I also used an Aqua Lifter by Tom Aquatics to keep the overflow box primed. Once you get the box working the way you want it it's great... See below for more details.

Performance vs. Expectations Performance... Well it took a while, the first thing I would say is to toss the foam from the inside. It's just asking to get dirty and slow down your drain. If you want throw a filter sock in your sump. Second, it's noisy, I get it, it's an overflow but still. A durso standpipe fixes the issue. A little tight to build one that fits well in there due to the limited size of the box. I would say that CPR could make the overflow perfect by including that in there.

Value for money Best overflow for it's price range.

Liked about it Best value for $
* Easy to install
* Designed to re-prime during power failures

Didn't like Foam is useless and asking to slow drain.
* Noisy stock setup
* Should come with Durso standpipe
* part that goes in tank should have mesh top to prevent critters from crawling over
* Back should come with cover, not as an extra $$ option

Nice HOB Overflow.

Installation and Operation Installation was quick and simple. The overflow is noisy at first but with a few modifications it runs silent now. A good way to stop the gurgling sound is to insert a larger vent tube through the bulkhead. The thin airline tubing cant cope with lots of air flow. The overflow has a clever leveling device that allows precise control of the water level in my display. This is a great overflow for non reef ready aquariums.

Performance vs. Expectations It was a bit noisy but that was corrected. My last overflow didn't skim off the surface film, leaving a residue preventing oxygen exchange. This overflow easily skims off all the film for my sump and skimmer to take care of. Coupled with the system as a whole. It works great.

Value for money It is very well constructed with quality acrylic. Its worth the price.

Liked about it Good leveling system
Doesn't lose siphon.
Black acrylic in the siphon prevent algae buildup

Didn't like A bit noisy.

Does its job well, noisy

Installation and Operation Installation is easy, requires an air pump, not included

Performance vs. Expectations Performs well. Keeps water in tank at a great level, don't have to worry about failure once the siphon is started you can turn off the pump and the siphon never stops (Good for power outage test)

Value for money Price is pretty standard on these, and its the only product I've used

Customer Support Haven't dealt with company

Liked about it I like that it is fault tolerant of pump, gives me peace of mind

Didn't like It is very very very obnoxiously loud. I semi-solved this by making a custom acrylic lid for the box. But even then the water falling into the box makes a splashing sound

CPR CS90 Overflow Box - Great Investment

General Would encourage you to purchase the little pump that constantly pumps the air out or hook the air hole to the ventri port of a powerhead in your tank. Why? If your power where to ever go out and then come back on while you were not home, this would self prime the overflow and you could avoid a watery mess later. Also, be sure to hook the pump/powerhead up to the same power strip as your return pump. So they both turn off and on at the same time (if on different power strips one may turn back on and the other would not.

Liked about it I ran this overflow for nearly three years before purchasing a Reef Ready tank. It was made of nice thick acrylic, good design, quality bulkhead and gasket, and ran relatively quiet. It also has a small air hole in the top which allows air to escape and water to flow freely. Highly Recommended!!!

Didn't like None, I have been completely satisfied with this product.
