Works as described...mostly 
| Installation and Operation |
Easy to install. Helpful YouTube installation videos, paper instructions, etc. I did deviate from their instructions as I drank Sam Adams during installation...I believe they drank Fat Tire during the installation video.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
It performs as adverised...mostly. It was typically noisy (gurgling) until I installed some enkamat behind the teeth and then it became nearly dead silent. I say mostly as, in my personal opinion, the overflow is incapable of keeping up with a 700 gph return pump. I installed the overflow with 1.5 inch piping into my sump...only a single 45 degree bend after the initial 90 degree piece included in the kit. I have a pondmaster 750C return pump which puts out around 475 gph at the head height of my tank. I had to dial the return pump down a little to keep the water level in the tank below the aquarium's glass cross brace. As I'm using the tank for cichlids I don't need rediculous flow so this overflow is fine for my needs. The realistic flow rate is just something one should consider when placing your order.

I feel it is a good value given the convenience of the package deal. Could I design my own overflow and save money, yes. Did I want to deal with all that BS, no.

flow rate is likely the theoretical maximum rather than the real world maximum.
often requires enkamat to make the overflow silent like their video (at least enkamat is cheap)
some sharp edges (I'm really grasping at straws here)
