Good trap with a smart design, a bit big, and a bit over priced

This is a really good product because it is well built and cleverly designed. There's a nice area for putting bait but it keeps it out of the way so the fish, or shrimp, or whatever else, can't actually get at it. I've used other traps where a hermit crab just goes in, takes the bait and leaves.
The biggest issue with this for me was the fact that it was pretty large, both long and wide. In my 50 gallon tank everything tended to swim into because the large open mouth was not at all restrictive to them.
This is a well built trap. The one I have used is one that gets passed around the community. I'm not even sure who the original owner is, but it's lasted for years and looks no worse for use.

Good trap... safer on the fish

I've caught many fish in one of these traps. It's much safer on the fish than using a net, especially delicate fish like Copper Banded Butterflies. The fish stress a lot less too... definately a good product. |
