Great for live-bearers

I've never used this for egg laying species but have for several species of freshwater live-bearing species (guppies, mollies, platy) and it worked okay. I wasn't super impressed with it. I found that it was easier for me to just use floating plants or tall plants that bent near the surface of the tank as a hiding place for the fry. However, in a tank that does not have plants, or in the case that closer observation of the fry is wanted this product does work.

Works well but could be better.

It performs as advertised. Very inexpensive and overall a good value for the money. In most places you can get them for under $7.

Like the fact that it floats pretty well. I used it to breed black mollies. It keeps the fry separate from the hungry adults and it lets you keep a close eye on the fry. Makes separating the fry from the mothers after birth very easy and provides enough space for them to grow until they can be released.

At times the plastic assembly could be difficult to remove the tray but for the price it really did not bother me.

Does exactly what it is suppose to. I have two of them. One for new fry and one for the next batch.

The price is great. Easy to use, and does what it is suppose to. I would definitely get another one if need be. Much more ideal than a net.

I dont like that is floats around, maybe a suction cup to hold it in place. It got under the overflow in my fw tank and turned over.
